Project Information
Design + Art Direction for the 2025 Eid Card for Nominal, my intention was to bridge traditional artistry with contemporary 3D rendering, creating a piece that feels both fresh and timeless. By incorporating art nouveau elements inspired by various cultural motifs, I wanted to honor the intricate beauty found across traditional Arab, Desi, African, and Persian art. These stylistic influences are visible through organic shapes, floral motifs, and delicate, flowing lines that echo a sense of connection across cultures.

I included specific symbols to pay homage to my heritage and the origins of Nominal. Palestinian olives appear in the design as a tribute to Nominal’s creators, evoking a sense of home and identity. From my Bangladeshi background, I integrated the water lily, our national flower, to celebrate resilience, growth, and unity. Together, these natural elements reflect the diversity and beauty found in so many parts of the world.

The rendering process was intentionally nuanced, capturing imperfections through "creases" and "bumps" along the curvatures, echoing the aged, weathered quality of stone-carved art. These organic details ground the design in a tradition that feels alive and enduring. In a way, I hoped to mimic the timeless quality of stonework, imagining how, إن شاء الله, this piece might feel just as meaningful 50 years from now, carrying the legacy of our culture and identity forward into the future.
